Based in Jingdezhen and trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Axian brings together the quiet elegance of Japanese wabi-sabi and a modern artistic touch. The matte black glaze, the subtle texture from hand-throwing, and the soft lily motif all reflect a calm, natural rhythm.

This belief runs through every detail of the bowl. Made with high-quality pottery clay from Jingdezhen and fired using traditional raku techniques, each piece carries unique glaze patterns left by fire. The lily design is hand-carved and carefully filled with glaze — delicate, understated, and quietly beautiful against the dark ceramic.The lily symbolizes purity and tranquility — a quiet wish for a gentle and beautiful life.
